HAPPY NEW YEAR! Today is New Year’s Day, and we are now in 2026! It is the time to start our New Year's resolutions, start a new project, and get ourselves prepared for the upcoming year. With the start of the new year, you want to start it on the right foot. So, let’s take it back and talk about some songs that are perfect to bring in the new year.
NCT 127 - “Dreams Come True”
On March 5, 2020, SM Entertainment boy group NCT 127 released their well-known, breathtaking album NCT #127 Neo Zone - The 2nd Album. This album is beautiful. Each song is different than the next and shows the range of NCT 127. One song on that album that would be great to bring in 2026 is the last track, “Dreams Come True.” This song is upbeat, bright, and full of wonder. While listening to this song, you can’t help but smile from ear to ear and bask in the joy of the song. This song is perfect for the new year as we all hope it brings greatness and that all our dreams come true. The boys sound amazing in this song. You can hear the glee in their voices as they sing. It was a great way to end the album and start your new year.
ITZY - “DALLA DALLA”
On February 12, 2019, JYP Entertainment's well-known girl group ITZY released their debut track “DALLA DALLA,” an upbeat track showcasing the girls' energy, skillful vocals, and iconic dance moves. “DALLA DALLA” is a fun track that will have you out of your seat, ready to sing and dance along. The song's message is to be different, and with the new year started, it’s always great to remember to be different and to be yourself. The bright, colorful video captures your attention the moment it starts. The song has a very captivating presence, and its uplifting message makes it a song to take you into 2026.
EVERGLOW - “ADIOS”
On August 19, 2019, EVERGLOW released their full-energy single Hush. This single features their well-known track “ADIOS,” an upbeat track with a striking EDM beat and addictive lyrics. Playing this year to run in the new year is a perfect goodbye to 2025. The song has a striking EDM beat that rattles your chest and will have your hips moving. The beat is one you can’t help but dance to, and the moment that final chorus begins as the ball finally drops is flawless, as the clock strikes midnight, and you are saying “Adios” to 2025 and “Hello” to 2026. “ADIOS” also showcases the musical talent of the members and their hard-hitting choreography. It’s such a fun song that to this day, many love to listen to to generate that excited feeling.
