Rookie group fromis_9 is back with their 3rd mini-album From.9 with three new tracks, as well as two remixes exclusive to the physical CD. The group strays from the stereotypical cutesy concept for a new unique concept that is as eye-catching as it is catchy, certainly infecting you with the “Love Bomb!”

The concept and visuals of “Love Bomb” are super refreshing, and delightfully reminiscent of the visual concept of NCT 127’s “Cherry Bomb,” with its own charming fromis_9 twist. The group is clearly going for a concept that leaves an impression, and it's hard to forget the unique visuals of hand-drawn animations and bright colors that go along with it. Visually speaking, it is definitely the most interesting and memorable comeback the group has had to date.

Musically, the song is still a traditional, upbeat pop track that the group has had in previous releases, but the beat differs slightly and is quite addicting. Put that together with the stunning visuals and bomb concept and you’ve got a great masterpiece from this rookie group!

There are two additional B-sides on the From.9 album, titled “Dancing Queen” and “물들어” respectively. “Dancing Queen” has some refreshing retro vibes let it stand out against the title “Love Bomb” and give the group a more distinct sound compared to previous releases. “물들어” sounds more like previous traditional pop, cutesy releases, but with a distinct and addictive beat. All in all, the mini-album (it might as well be considered a single album given the lack of remixes digitally available) is well-rounded and presents a new look at this girl group.
