Jeong Eunji has officially made her solo comeback! She released her second mini-album, Hyehwa, which is filled with amazing songs that show off her musical charms. The album is filled with soft songs that really display Eunji’s perfect singing ability. She has grown so much as an artist, and she took part in the production of all of the tracks on the album.  

The title track “어떤가요 (Being There)” is a soft acoustic ballad that gets you feeling nostalgic for your past happy memories. The track shows off her clear and beautiful voice, overpowering the background instrumental. The music video is quite long as it tells a cute story of Eunji going back to her childhood home to visit her mom and all of the memories that came with the house begin to come up. As she leaves her childhood home, she feels reluctant to go as she misses those happy times with her family.

“별 반짝이는 꽃을 위해 (For The Flower That Shines Like A Star)” is an instrumental track that is played throughout the music video, which shows scenes of Eunji’s nostalgic memories. “계절이 바뀌듯 (Seasons Change)” is the perfect song to listen to if you ever feel alone or are missing someone. It is a soft piano ballad that reassures everyone that there will always be someone out there for you. “상자 (Box)” is one of the upbeat tracks that begins with a cute knocking on a box, just like the title of the song.

“신경 쓰여 요 (It’s Bothering Me)” is a mellow jazz track that has a catchy, distinct drum beat that gets you dancing to it immediately. The lovely acoustic track, “B,” gets you smiling from its soothing instrumental beginning. Eunji’s humming during the chorus fits in so beautifully. The next song, “김비서 (Secretary Kim),” gives happy vibes which gets you bobbing your head back and forth. The song is about falling in love and waiting for the special someone to come back home from a long day of work. The last track, “새벽 (Dawn),” is a soft love song about missing someone all day from when you wake up to when you fall asleep.

Eunji has released a solo mini-album that is filled with beautiful ballads and acoustic love songs. Each track on the album was either written, composed, or produced by Eunji, so she has definitely learned a lot about music throughout the years.
