With the first official release from SM Entertainment's digital music project The Station, season three started off with a bang. For those unfamiliar with SM Station, it began in February 2016 as part of Lee Sooman’s “Neo Culture Technology” project. Its goal was to release a new single every Friday. Lucas’s release is the beginning of season three!

The song itself was super surprising. When I looked at the thumbnail on YouTube I expected a softer song about meeting a girl in a coffee shop; however, I was not disappointed. Lucas begins the song with his bouncy rap over a beat that I couldn’t place the first couple listens, but later realized it was probably inspired by the beat found in Michael Jackson’s “Wanna be Startin Somethin’.” Jonah Nilsson lends his smooth voice on the chorus, the hook, and even joins Lucas in parts of the verses. It sounds as if the duo is having a conversation through the entire song. Alongside the familiar bouncy beat, you can hear the piano paired with the fluttery sound of a flute and the smooth jazz riffs of a saxophone, creating a melody that will get stuck in your head.

The music video itself is full of red and yellow tones, as if the camera was covered with a yellow-tinted lens during filming. The set looks like the behind-the-scenes of a drama, leading into the idea that Lucas is actually the lead male in a drama and he's trying to woo his female co-lead. The camera shots themselves add to the fun of the song, transitions between scenes happening with swirling shots and fun jump cuts for added effect.

My one gripe with this whole song and music video is that it ends too soon. Just as I am getting into the groove, the track suddenly ends. It felt incomplete to me. Other than that, it’s being added to my heavy rotations playlist.
