Throwback Thursday: Best of Male Artists 2018

We are almost to the end of the year! There have been many great releases throughout the year, and we are spoiled with a wealth of new music from artists. For this Throwback Thursday, we are looking back to some of the best releases from male artists and groups in 2018!

“IDOL” - BTS

We cannot deny the success BTS had this year. From sweeping several daesangs, to going on their biggest world tour yet, to releasing the next installments for the LOVE YOURSELF album series, 2018 is definitely BTS’s year and we cannot be more proud of their accomplishments. Between “Fake Love” and “IDOL,” “IDOL” takes the spot for this week on Throwback Thursday. This fun and catchy song will definitely have fans up and dancing. You cannot deny that when this song comes on, you’ll be dancing and taking on the “IDOL Challenge.” We also can’t forget to mention that the legendary Nicki Minaj also featured on one version of the song as well!

“Love Scenario” - iKON

iKON is another group that has had quite an eventful year. 2018 saw the return of the YG boy group, and “Love Scenario” absolutely smashed it in Korean music charts. Just recently, iKON managed to take home “Song of the Year” during the MelOn Music Awards. “Love Scenario” is an easy-going and laid-back track that is reminiscent of when they first debuted with “Airplane” and “My Type.” Whether it’s hanging out with friends or playing during a long drive, “Love Scenario” is a mood-maker and a song not to skip when it comes on. If you haven’t gotten into iKON yet, you are really missing out on a very talented group with a very much slept on library of songs and albums.

“Shine” - PENTAGON

If you want to talk about one of the most underrated yet catchiest songs of the year, it definitely would have to be PENTAGON’s “Shine.” There is a fun and energetic charm in “Shine” that instantaneously brings a smile onto your face, thanks to its bright and cheery vibe. “Shine” is that song that will get everyone up on their feet and dancing along when it comes on. When you see the members dancing along and having fun on stage, you’re bound to catch the happy virus. “Shine” is definitely a song that will brighten any day and is fit for any season. When it comes on, you’ll be singing at the top of your lungs and doing the choreography to the chorus. It definitely is an iconic song that will be remembered in 2018.

“Potion” - Eric Nam

Like the rest of the artists listed on this week’s Throwback Thursday, Eric Nam has also had a fruitful year. Eric Nam embarked on his first ever North and South American tour, and also travelled across the world greeting fans on a large scale. “Potion” is definitely one of his best releases (as he has come out with several releases this year). With the Latin-influence and the feature of Woodie Gochild on the track, this is a song perfect for summer and those late-night parties with close friends. Eric Nam definitely has outdone himself again this year with “Potion”!
