Weekly Charts: November 29- December 5

Rolling into the new winter season excites listeners, with the best tracks saved for last as we reach the end of the year. Winter-themed ballads, jazzy tracks, and funky dance songs are just a few releases that kick off the beginning of a great ending to this year in K-Pop.

TO WITHER AND BLOOM

MAMAMOO wither and bloom with “Wind Flower,” released on November 29 from their Blue;S EP. The four ladies feel their hearts wilt away with this mellow jazz track as they drown in regret after calling it quits with their relationships. After enduring the inevitable pain of heartbreak, the ladies find their way to blossom like petals in even the harshest weather with a girls’ night out in the city. As the current number one spot on Mnet and number three on Soribada, “Wind Flower” assures that broken hearts can still flourish like spring flowers even after the coldest winters.

WICKED CHARMS

Red Velvet can’t escape mischievous men with their latest title track “RBB (Really Bad Boy),” released on November 30. While the five ladies seduced even the most troublesome boys, who were easily wrapped around their fingers with “Bad Boy,” their latest Velvet concept conveys their red, jazzy sound as the girls are enthralled by a boy’s devilish charms. The members find themselves engulfed in his wickedness in this retro Halloween-themed video complete with haunted graveyards, high-pitched screams, and a werewolf hunt. Taking the number three spot on Bugs!, heat up this month with funky and spooky vibes with “RBB.”

THE FIRST SNOW

Kim Bumsoo warms hearts with his own rendition of “I Will Go To You Like The First Snow,” released on November 28. A beloved OST sung by Ailee that touched millions of hearts as viewers watched the riveting romance on Goblin, Kim Bumsoo—with the help of Rocoberry—perform a special acoustic version of the heart-wrenching ballad. Currently at number six on Genie and number five on Soribada, listen to this new spin on a classic soundtrack.
