Throwback Thursday: Spring Time Sessions
Welcome back to another Throwback Thursday! Although we are still technically still in the winter season, I’m dying for spring to come! It’s the season where it’s not too hot and not too cold, and everything begins to bloom again. This week is a list full of refreshing, upbeat, and fuzzy-feeling songs that will instantly put a smile on your face.
“BOM BOM BOM” - Roy Kim
Considerably one of his most popular songs, “BOM BOM BOM” by Roy Kim will melt your heart with his smooth vocals and catchy chorus. The music video features Roy Kim and his guitar as he goes through colorful sets filled with flowers and greenery that scream spring time. The title itself, “bom” or “봄,” means spring in Korean, which is perfect for this Throwback Thursday. It is highly recommended to check out Roy Kim, especially if you are a fan of the acoustic style of music.
“Cherry Blossom Ending” - Busker Busker
Another staple for spring-time themed music would have to be Busker Busker’s “Cherry Blossom Ending,” or “벚꽃 엔딩” in Korean. Although this song is six years old, its timelessness comes from its acoustic instrumentals along with the catchiness of the chorus. You know that feeling of swaying your head from side to side when you listen to music? This song will definitely have you doing that; you’ll find yourself singing along as well. The accompanying music video features a pastel color palette and a cute and funny storyline. The animation of the band members on their adventure throughout the music video adds charm, making it a classic. Although the band has not been active as of recently, I hope this song by Busker Busker warms your heart when gearing up for spring!
“Thank You” - Ra.D
Known for his acoustics, Ra.D’s “Thank You” is another great song that will have you ready for spring. For those who are used to hearing his usual acoustic ballads, it’s refreshing to hear a happier, brighter song from the artist. The music video in particular is so cute and endearing; it sends the message of sincere feelings one feels for a significant other. If you’re a big fan of Kim Seulgi (who starred in dramas such as Oh My Ghost! and Flower Boy Next Door), she is also the main lead in the music video! The song is so adorable and lovable that you can’t help but think of spring time whenever it comes on! Check out the rest of Ra.D’s music if you haven’t already!
