GOT7 Has Their Eyes On You In Latest Album
GOT7 makes their return once more with their latest album, Eyes On You! GOT7 treats fans to six brand new songs that are a breath of fresh air as we step forward into spring. There is a track for everyone—from their R&B style down to their fun and upbeat dance tracks, they’ll surely have fans grooving along.
“Look”
Fans and listeners are in for a treat as once again, GOT7 brings another upbeat and catchy track that will have many people up on their feet, doing the choreography. The overall vibe and sound of “Look” is the perfect lead up to the spring season as it’s funky and fresh. The verses start off rather mid-tempo but turn up the heat with the lead into the chorus. It’s a fusion where EDM & House meet R&B, which blends so well, you can’t help but fall in love. Many can tell that “Look” is going to be of the group’s best and most fun tracks yet!
Some say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and GOT7 surely pulls in viewers with their deep and piercing gazes throughout the music video. As the main focus and concept of the album is sight, the constant flashes of the GOT7 members gazing into the camera reach out to viewers. It’s as if they are literally standing right in front of you, instead of simply having a screen in between. The music video does a great job of showing this perspective as the viewer is the one who is opening their eyes and watching all the events unfold. GOT7 also impresses, yet again, with the stunning visuals and special effects sprinkled throughout the music video, giving the music video extra flare. There is hope that GOT7 also filmed a dance performance video so fans can see more of the intricate and smooth choreography.
The Album
As previously mentioned, there is a track that is suited for everyone who is a fan of GOT7. Whether it is the R&B tracks or the fun collaboration track with Hyolyn, this particular album will have you heavily invested from beginning to end. Prior to the release of the album, as a treat to the fans, they released a special video and track with Hyolyn. This is the first time that the group has officially collaborated with another artist on an official album, and they surely complement each other well. The collaboration track titled, “One and Only You,” is a Hip-Hop/R&B-influenced track that will get you up on your feet, dancing and singing along. While the video only offers a taste of the song, the full track on the album will make up for it. (Though, how cool would it be to see Hyolyn and GOT7 perform this track together live on stage?)
For those who are fond of acoustic songs, “Hesitate” is right up your alley. There is a sweetness to the song that will have you smiling from ear to ear. If you are a fan of their previous release, “You Are,” their song, “The Reason,” has similar vibes as it is another R&B track that also has a slow build up into an uplifting chorus, which evokes a feeling as if you are soaring high through the sky alongside GOT7. “Us” slows the tempo down a bit within the album, having a more laid back, chill sound compared to the other tracks, but nonetheless still fits perfectly well into the blend of styles within Eyes On You. Last but not least, “Thank You” finishes the album out, which will have fans feeling a rush of emotions as this song can be interpreted as dedicated directly to their fans. GOT7 is known for actively showcasing their love and appreciation for IGOT7 (Ahgase), like the baby bird that makes occasional appearances through their music videos; “Thank You” will surely have hearts racing (and maybe tears flowing).
All in all, GOT7 has released another solid album that is worth the listen from beginning to end. Fans can look forward to seeing the boy group actively promoting and embarking on another world tour later this year!
