Throwback Thursday: Acoustic Setlist

We are definitely in that transition where the temperature is cooling down and it’s starting to become autumn. It’s one step closer to sweater weather and we can all agree we are looking forward to layering our clothing, busting out the hot chocolate and snuggling up in warm sheets. When it comes to doing these particular activities, having a good playlist full of acoustic songs is the best match for this type of weather and season. For this week we are highlighting some of the best acoustic songs to come out of K-Pop!

“I’m In Love”- Narsha

Looking for a song that makes you feel all fluffy and soft on the inside? Brown Eyed GirlsNarsha released her rendition of “I’m In Love” (originally by Ra.D) off her self-titled first album, Narsha. “I’m In Love” is perfect for those days where you’re thinking about that special person that makes your heart beat a little faster. “I’m In Love” is about admitting and embracing the feeling of falling in love. It’s also a great song to make a confession to as well, if you’re feeling brave enough but can’t necessarily put into words. It’s definitely a cute, feel good song that will instantaneously put a smile on your face. Did you get that butterflies-in-stomach feeling yet?

“Through the Night” - IU

We simply couldn’t forget to add the queen of acoustics, IU, into this acoustic setlist. Having several songs under her belt that she personally has played the guitar for, it was rather difficult to pick exactly what song to highlight from her. But “Through the Night” is considerably one of her most popular acoustic songs to date, garnering over 55 million views on her music video for the song. “Through the Night” was released on her album Palette and was the pre-release track prior to it’s release. This is another song that is all about the topic of love, as IU expresses the feeling of looking back at how the relationship started and how these feelings blossomed into something beautiful and warm, but also missing this special person. Sit back and relax while you listen to “Through the Night” and get lost in the sweet and soft vocals from IU!

“All Alone” - DAY6

We simply couldn’t end without also mentioning DAY6 and their acoustic track, “All Alone.” Compared to the other songs that are listed for this week’s throwbacks, “All Alone” is a lot sadder and darker. There are times where we are feeling down and not our usual selves, and we just need to take a day for ourselves to go through the motions and pick ourselves back up and “All Alone” is a song that perfectly encapsulates that feeling. While this is an emotional acoustic ballad, you can’t help but get caught up with all the members playing their respective acoustic instruments and listen to their smooth vocals. It’s not often that DAY6 showcases their acoustic side when it comes to their songs; however, it is a refreshing switch from the group and there is hope that they will put out more acoustic songs in future releases!
