Throwback Thursday: 2019 Staff Picks

For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we’re taking a look at some of The Kraze staff’s personal favorites from 2019! From power vocals to fierce declarations to summer bops, 2019 brought everyone at The Kraze a new favorite.

“MIROH” - Stray Kids

Jean, Photographer

“MIROH” is the catchy title track off of Stray Kids’ March album Clé 1: MIROH. According to our photographer, Jean, “MIROH” is a brilliant song that’s hype yet filled with uplifting subtext.

“Enough” - SF9

Anthea, Writer

SF9’s “Enough” comes off of their February EP NARCISSUS. Our writer, Anthea, loves the sensual and groovy song for its unique style and concept.

“HALA HALA” - ATEEZ

Roxy, Marketing Director

Released early in January, ATEEZ’s TREASURE EP.2: Zero To One opened with “HALA HALA.” Though the track was not the album’s title (“Say My Name”), our Marketing Director, Roxy, thinks the song deserved to be the lead single. In her opinion, the track was the turning point that proved ATEEZ was out for world domination.

“Room Shaker” - Ailee

Jay, Outreach Director

Ailee’s summer comeback with her album butterFLY was led by its explosive title track “Room Shaker.” The Kraze’s Outreach Director, Jay, thinks the song is an impactful release that didn’t get the love it deserved this year, but definitely proved Ailee is a force to be reckoned with.

“Humph!” - PENTAGON

Emily, Writer

PENTAGON’s July release “Humph!” was every bit as fun as a summer comeback should be. Our writer, Emily, loves the song for its fun vibes and its ability to stay stuck in your head.
