Suran Returns with “Hide And Seek”

For fans of the songstress, the wait for Suran to release a new album has been one filled with baited breath. With her last release being 2017’s Walkin’, it’s been two years since we’ve had a new solo release from this soulful artist. But with the release of teaser track “Hide And Seek,” Suran lets fans know that the end of the wait is in sight with her new mini-album set to drop on March 2.

Suran is known not only for her sultry voice but also her versatility when it comes to trying different styles, and it’s safe to say that the dreamy “Hide And Seek” provides listeners with yet another musical dimension from the artist. The track is short and sweet, coming in at a mere 1:32 from start to finish, and features only an acoustic guitar as the backing to Suran’s dynamic vocals. In the song, produced by Cho Jungchi, Suran sings of being lonely while comparing herself and her lover to stars. Overall, the track is melancholy in nature, tiptoeing the line between hopeful and resigned before fading out into whisper-like vocals that will leave listeners wanting more. “Hide And Seek” is a fantastic lead-in for what’s looking to be a promising mini-album from Suran by offering fans just enough of a taste without spoiling the whole meal.

The teaser also has a corresponding video overlayed with pastel colors, grainy filters, and close-up shots of the singer-songwriter. Check it out below while you count down the days to the full release on March 2.
