Ravi and Eunha Celebrate Spring Love in “Blossom”

GFRIENDs Eunha, VIXXs Ravi, and GroovyRoom teamed up with Pepsi on the #ForTheLoveOfIt campaign with their song “Blossom.”

In early 2019, Pepsi launched its new global campaign #ForTheLoveOfIt. This campaign stays true to the Pepsi tradition of putting entertainment at the center of their campaigns. #ForTheLoveOfIt is the brand’s first new tagline in seven years: Pepsi wants people to go all in for the things they love.

“Blossom,” contains the classic feel of a GroovyRoom-produced track. The rhythm is fun and bouncy and matches well with both Eunha’s and Ravi’s voices. The music video features a drama-esque story of spring love in which Eunha plays a waitress who bumps into Ravi, an artist in the park, and they end up switching their cans of Pepsi up on a bench. The two meet again when Ravi comes to eat in the restaurant where Eunha works. Ravi and Eunha both become shy and flirt with each other again before they end up exchanging information via the blue Pepsi to-go cup. From texting back and forth, they eventually meet up again in the park where they drink Pepsi together. This time, however, the cans are decorated with cherry blossoms courtesy of Ravi.

The cherry blossoms are a recurring theme throughout the music video, appearing in almost every scene, and are incidentally on the current packaging for Pepsi cans in South Korea.

For a music video intended to be used as an ad, the song is quite catchy and one that will have a place in The Kraze’s spring playlist. Check out “Blossom” below.
