IZ*ONE Calls You Their “Violeta”

IZ*ONE has finally come back with a Korean album after their Japanese album and promotions. Their second mini-album, HEART*IZ, is filled with unique-sounding tracks not usually found in the K-Pop industry. IZ*ONE continuously releases new unique music, surprising fans and making them want more from the popular group.

The title track, “비올레타 (Violeta)” is a pop track with tropical house beats and a future bass intro. The track instantly captivates you with each member’s charms and its catchy chorus. The track is inspired by “The Happy Prince” which has meaningful lyrics about wanting everyone to see the importance of their existence. In the music video, each member is seen wearing sparkly diamonds which represent the value of one’s existence similar to how valuable a diamond is in this world. Visually, the music video features shots of each member dancing happily, demonstrating their charismatic charm through precise dance moves.

“해바라기 (Hey. Bae. Like it.)” is an upbeat pop track that shows off the group’s innocence through their soft yet sharp vocals. “Highlight” is a catchy track that gives off a mysterious vibe, leaving listeners to desire more from the group. The next track, “Really Like You,” is a personal favorite as it has a cute, yet lovely, charm to the track. The song is able to show off each member’s strong vocals through the soft pop melodies.

“Airplane” is an upbeat pop song that instantly gets you dancing with the members. The track has distinct rap parts to let those members shine. “UP (하늘 위로)” is the track that is being promoted alongside their title track. The song is filled with high notes that each member seems to tackle easily, creating a clear tone. Lastly, the album ends with the Korean versions of their two most popular Japanese tracks, “고양이 되고 싶어 (Neko Ni Naritai)” and “기분 좋은 안녕 (Gokigen Sayonara).” Now that IZ*ONE has finally made their long-awaited Korean comeback, please support them as they continue to grow as a group.
