The Best of Park Seojoon

Park Seojoon has been in the K-Drama scene ever since 2012 and has slowly built his way up to one of the most sought after leading men in the industry. Having enlisted early, he is not plagued by the impending hiatus that other actors have to go through during their 2-year enlistment period. He has taken advantage of this by building a solid career one project at a time. Below is a list of some of his most memorable roles for fans looking to indulge in their love for the actor.

She Was Pretty

This is a 2015 drama starring Park Seojoon, Hwang Jungeum, Choi Siwon and Go Joonhee.

Park Seojoon takes up the role of Sungjoon, an overbearing and strict boss at Most Magazine. Sungjoon was an unattractive young boy, but grows up to be a handsome and successful editor. He hopes to reconnect with his childhood best friend Hyejin (Hwang Jungeum). Hyejin was a confident and beautiful young girl, but her looks change as an adult, causing her to lose her self-confidence. When Sungjoon asks to meet her, Hyejin asks her friend Minhari (Go Joonhee) to pretend to be her instead. Hyejin gets a job as an intern at Most Magazine and Sungjoon mistreats her without knowing her real identity. The situation is further complicated when Minhari develops feelings for Sungjoon.

Park Seojoon as the successful editor and demanding boss is an interesting concept that he successfully portrays.

Hwarang

Hwarang is a historical drama from 2016 starring Park Seojoon, Park Hyungsik and Go Ara.

Park Seojoon steps into the Kingdom of Silla to play the young poet warrior Moomyung. He becomes one of the elite members of the Hwarang by assuming the identity of his deceased best friend, Sunwoo. He meets Jidwi (Park Hyungsik)—the rightful king of Silla who grows up hidden from the public and is fighting to get back the throne. Jidwi’s mother is reagent to the throne and refuses to hand it back to her son. Moomyung and Jidwi therefore work together to take back the throne and save Silla from the nobles who abuse their power to satiate their greed. Moomyung and Jidwi also end up falling in love with Ahro (Go Ara), a physician at Hwarang and compete for her affection.

Park Seojoon steals the show as Moomyung with his incredible martial arts skills as well as his admirable wisdom. He is able to lead the ensemble cast of Hwarang to tell an incredible story about leadership and teamwork. His interaction with the other characters, especially Jidwi, makes an interesting love-hate relationship that is quite entertaining.

Fight for My Way

Fight for My Way is a romantic drama produced in 2017. It stars Park Seojoon, Kim Jiwon, Ahn Jaehong and Song Hayoon.

Park Seojoon plays the role of Ko Dongman, a former taekwondo player. He lives with his three friends and they are all trying to build their careers and have successful lives. Dongman falls for his friend Choi Aera (Kim Jiwon); the two have been friends since childhood and have a bit of a hard time admitting their feelings for each other.

Park Seojoon is fun and silly in the drama, making Dongman endearing and lovable. He takes a break from the serious roles and delivers a character that we can laugh at and identify with. Apart from the laughs, the “underdog” theme of the story is inspirational for those hoping to overcome their hardships and build a successful future.

Park Seojoon is amazing in the drama and plays the narcissist Lee Youngjoon brilliantly. His chemistry with Park Minyoung is great and their characters interact each other out quite well.
