ONEUS Return With First Digital Single “뿌셔 (BBUSYEO)”

ONEUS are back and this time with their first digital single “뿌셔 (BBUSYEO).” While it’s only been a few months since they released Lived, “뿌셔 (BBUSYEO)” is a sweet treat for their fans TO MOONs to enjoy.

Just looking at the concept photos released for the track and it’s already clear that “뿌셔 (BBUSYEO)” steers away from the darker tracks we’ve come to expect from ONEUS and instead brings them into a fun and poppy world full of color as they sing about the exciting feelings experienced by a boy after falling in love. The track is super interesting and hooks you from the very beginning, opening with a cool bass line overlaid with a talk box (think “Livin’ On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi). Along the way, horn is introduced in the chorus as well as a synthesizer, leading to a track that is slightly all over the place in terms of sound and genre but funky nonetheless.

The music video is just as all over the place as the track, but that’s what makes “뿌셔 (BBUSYEO)” so much fun. Between watching ONEUS work desk jobs and scenes of them goofing off in front of a flower stand, a grocery store, and a living room, it’s a lot to take in, especially when the plastic mallets and baseball bats get involved. The video ends with the six members hitting a blue cake with the word “BBUSYEO” written in all caps with the plastic mallets.
