ONEWE is back, this time with their first full album ONE. After a slew of smaller releases in the form of 1/4, 2/4, and 3/4, ONE along with its title track “End of Spring” truly feels like the full package we’ve been waiting for from the band.

The album opens with new track “Crazy good,” a song with a bit of a surf rock edge to make it a great summer tune. From there, the album fittingly drifts into title track “End of Spring,” which is just as full of summery vibes as its predecessor, albeit much more interesting of a listen. Although the elements of rock are still present in the form of guitars and percussion, ONEWE introduces a heavy dance beat that has the track tiptoeing on the precipice of EDM. It’s an unexpected turn for sure and much less expected on a title track, but the sound fits the band so well that “End of Spring” will have you adding it to your summer playlist after just one listen.

A previously released version of “Feeling Good” follows next on the tracklist and the relaxed guitars and jazzy beats offer a calm switch-up from the upbeat beginning of the album. “Love me” from 2019’s 2/4 is another lazy song that keeps the laid back feeling going, climaxing in the most relaxing way with April’s “Q” featuring MAMAMOO’s Hwasa. 2019’s “Regulus” slows things down even further, trading in catchy beats for heartfelt vocals as the members sing of the undying love between separated lovers.

Unlike much of their newer pop-influenced releases, new track “IF” keeps things in very familiar rock ballad territory. The song opens with an emotional piano and is carried by angsty vocals, featuring a classic guitar build in the bridge and final chorus. Once the final moody chords of “IF” come to a close, it’s time to travel back to the past with a batch of ONEWE’s earliest tracks off their debut EP 1/4. First up is the groovy “0&4,” followed by the more mellow “Ring on my Ears” and “Reminisce about All.” The album concludes with a previously released remix of “Ring on my Ears” and a rock version of “End of Spring” that balances out the original song’s EDM influences wonderfully.
