B-Sides: Road To Kingdom Playlist (Pt. 2)
Following last week’s Road To Kingdom Playlist series, this week we will be suggesting a few B-sides from the rest of the contestants, ONF, PENTAGON, ONEUS, and Golden Child.
ONF
“Asteroid”
“Asteroid” is an electro-pop track that is sure to grab the listener’s attention with its attractive pop beats and the members’ delivery of lyrics. With a sound alarm, the song shifts to be a refreshing track that anyone would love listening to. The lyrics metaphorically compare the lover with an asteroid as the members feel overwhelmed trying to handle their emotions. Added with the enjoyable instrumentals, the catchy pre-chorus and chorus get stuck in our heads immediately. On the whole, the song would be one of the perfect tracks in a party playlist.
“Moscow Moscow”
“Moscow Moscow” is a contemporary rock ballad with chill beats and mellow vocals. The members sing about being the protagonist who got stuck in Moscow and can sense the weather getting cold and gloomy as they are lost and lonely in the city. While the members gracefully sing the verses, the limelight shines on Hyojin’s tender voice during the climax. Surprisingly, the repetitive English chorus, “Moscow, Moscow, love in Moscow,” sounds pleasing, making the listener experience a night in the Russian city.

“Blue Sky”
“Blue Sky” is one of the irresistible b-side tracks from the sextet to grab the heart of any listener. The symbolism of blue sky is compared with the good times spent together with the lover and the members are determined to endure any difficulties to be loved again. Despite the melancholic narration, the song sounds bold and passionate with the members’ powerful vocals. The vocal-dominant song equally complements the rappers as the duo Raven and Leedo deliver a rap punch verse in the end. Finally, Leedo becomes the star of the song, serving as both a vocalist and rapper with perfection.
“Level Up”
“Level Up” is indeed one of the strongest b-sides, highly capable of being a single on its own. The song is a passionate anthem motivating the listeners to aim high and keep moving forward. As the powerful sound, the lyrics are equally bold and passionate to energize the fans while listening. Though the song hints to be a rap-heavy song with strong instrumentals and chorus, the vocal line plays a major role in bridging the segments together with their mellow vocals. Ultimately the song is more like an energizer in the playlist.

The intense and eerie mood continues throughout the song and becomes more sensual with the members huskily teasing, “The Black” in the listener’s ears during the chorus. With no doubt the song can catch the audience’s attention from the first listen.
“Worship You”

The lyrics rejoice about the fruitful beginning and promise to cherish this forever. The instrumental greatly complements the song to sound more fun and interesting to follow. The pre-chorus is one of the notable niches of the song as it grabs the listener’s attention in an instant. With a mix of enthusiastic verses and instrumentals, the song will be an interesting listen in the playlist.
