Coming in hot not long after the release of his first installment of his album LIT, soloist and EXO member Lay Zhang is back with another pre-released track. Titled “BOOM,” Lay brings a groovy and sensual summer track that will get fans up on their feet and dancing along. “BOOM” is perfect for those summer parties right when the sun is starting to set and the party is just starting to heat up. The song also offers a mix of tropical sounds and hip-hop elements, which is reminiscent of his third album NAMANANA, which contained an abundance of the summery vibe. “BOOM” is a definite switch from the other releases of the LIT album as the previous songs are much darker in tone and vibe.

While there is no music video to accompany the track, Lay has kicked off the #BOOMchallenge on various social media platforms. While fans patiently wait for the second and final installment of LIT, “BOOM” is a definite repeat-worthy and summery smooth track that must not be passed up.
