Lovelyz “Obliviate” Their Bad Memories in New Music Video
Lovelyz has returned with their newest mini-album Unforgettable, which includes equally unique and unforgettable tracks for this comeback. Their musical intro, “Unforgettable” starts off the album strong with intense violin chords that build for the title track.
The title track “Obliviate” is a pop song that expresses the feelings of forgetting the memories of a painful love. The team worked with Stardust to produce this title track and Sujeong took part in writing the lyrics. The group’s newest concept is quite different from their usual cute and lovely concept, with the girls going for a mysterious and enchanting concept. The theme of the music video is quite dark and gloomy, just like the lyrics of erasing the pain after breaking up with someone. At the end of the music video, the group is seen burning a house together and standing outside the house as it burns down. This shows the symbolism of burning or erasing the sad and painful memories of their past love.
The album continues with “Dream in a dream,” which is quite mysterious as it begins with notes from music boxes. The next three tracks, “Never, Secret,” “Memories,” and “Worry Dolls,” are soft tracks that portray each member’s vocal skills perfectly. The tracks are able to show each member’s unique sounds, something in which they never seem to disappoint.
Lovelyz has returned with a different concept that is sure to be a fan favorite. They showed so much charisma and confidence that we will definitely be anticipating more. Please support Lovelyz as they continue their promotions!
