“My Pace” - Stray Kids

In 2018, Stray Kids released their second mini-album, I am WHO, and its loud-and-proud hit, “My Pace.” Penned by 3RACHA, the message of the song is that you should not compare yourself to others because the only pace that matters in life is your own. The song has elements of both hip-hop and rock, with its heavy guitar riff and “Na na na na na” lines almost instantaneously recognizable.

“Bad Girl, Good Girl” - miss A

One of miss A’s most famous tracks, 2010’s “Bad Girl, Good Girl” is a song about knowing your worth and not lowering your standards for relationships. In the classic K-Pop song—which, believe it or not, was the group’s debut song—the girls sing of being too good for their romantic pursuers. The song topped the Gaon Digital Chart and won numerous awards at year-end shows, including “Song of the Year” at the 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards. 

“Cider” - YEZI

Former Fiestar member YEZI released her first solo project, Foresight Dream, in 2016, and along with it, her single “Cider.” Released after her run on Unpretty Rapstar 2, “Cider” is about not molding yourself to fit the opinions of others—a message that fueled her performance on the survival show.

“Selfish” - Moonbyul feat. Seulgi

MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul released her solo venture “Selfish” in 2018 and with the help of Red Velvet’s Seulgi, it became a fan-favorite about self-love. Whereas the word “selfish” tends to have negative connotations, in this song Moonbyul flips the term on its head, insisting that the best way to live life is to put oneself first.
