Songs Full of Color

Colors are not only beautiful but certain colors can also provoke certain feelings. For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we will be looking at songs titled with a variety of colors. From slow songs to iconic anthems, let’s check out some captivating songs full of color!

“Hot Pink” - EXID

“Hot Pink” is such an addictive and exhilarating listen, with EXID bringing together a very sexy and cool style in their vocals as well as the choreography. Although the hook is repetitive, it is incredibly catchy and quite addictive. The music video is a lot of fun as it centers around the members selling “Pink Oil” for people’s cars, and all of the looks for each member, including lots of pink hair, really give us the perfect amount of pink in the video. The main point for the dance involves the members biting their thumbs, a perfect touch to add an extra bit of sexiness to the song.

“Violet” - PENTAGON

PENTAGON created a lovely soft pop song for “Violet,” which was composed by member Kino. It gave an opportunity for the vocalists to really show off the smoothness and beauty in their voices, and the music has a very nostalgic feel about love and is extremely aesthetic visually. They even use pops of violet throughout the video.

“Black on Black” - NCT

NCT is not afraid to be distinct in their style, and “Black on Black” is a perfect example. The song uses a variety of rapping and different tempos throughout it, really creating a unique backdrop to showcase the members and their dance performance. “Black on Black” gives quite an impact by the sheer number of members and how stunning of a visual it is to see them all perform together.

“Red” - HyunA

“Red” is a color all about sexiness and oozing confidence, which HyunA exudes throughout the song. She gives us a different side to her vocals as she raps in a deeper voice as well. The best part about “Red” is the performance. The whole music video uses red as a contrast to the various scenes, and the contrast with black is particularly eye-catching. The choreography pairs perfectly with “Red,” as it matches the boldness that is HyunA’s style.
