BLACKPINK’s Jennie started a personal YouTube channel on her 25th birthday, reaching 1 million subscribers in just a few hours. As of February 14, she has more than 5.64 million subscribers and her first video, “Hello world . From Jennie,” reached over 26 million views. BLACKPINK’s Lisa recently made her own comeback to her Lilifilm Official channel with “[The Movie],” that’s already reached over 13 million views. Following BLACKPINK’s YouTube success, we’ve collected some other female artists who share parts of their lives with fans on the video streaming platform:

HyunA

HyunA’s official channel showcases a mix of professional content like music videos and dance practices with her more personal vlogs. Her HyunA-ing series brings the viewers a lot closer to her fun personality. Her boyfriend, Dawn, shows up frequently in these videos as well, providing fans with many sweet (or bickering) couple moments that are rarely seen in the industry. 

LADIES’ CODE Ashley

The ashleybchoi channel is not your typical idol channel. The ASHthetically pleasing lifestyle content rather brings the vibe of an everyday Korean-American girl living in Seoul and trying to figure out life. It allows LADIES’ CODE fans a glimpse of what’s happening in the girls’ lives after the expiration of their contracts with Pledis Entertainment. 

CLC Sorn

Sorn opened PRODUSORN back in 2018. Her channel consists of several behind-the-scenes videos next to many “real-YouTube-contents” like Q&As, unboxings, makeup videos, random vlogs, etc. CLC fan or not, her upbeat personality and content will make your day. 

MAMAMOO Solar

솔라시도 solarsido just hit its 3rd anniversary this January. Solar’s channel consists of many music related content like covers and dance videos, but viewers also get to see her personal side in her vlogs about everyday activities like eating, cutting hair or just lying on the couch on a lazy weekend; while in her Just Interview series, Solar chats with other popular celebrities, such as Henry or Park Sodam.

KARD Somin

Somin started Minny J 소민 in Spring 2019, and has been fairly active on the platform ever since. Her channel could easily be every girl's go-to as it is full of beautiful makeup tutorials, beauty and fashion contents. 

IZ*ONE Miyawaki Sakura

Although she hasn’t been posting videos within the past year, if you are into gaming (and/or IZ*ONE), the Miyawaki Sakura Gaming Channel could quickly become your new happy place. Her content is in Japanese, but has English subtitles ready for international fans. We suspect Sakura is even busier than usual due to IZ*ONE’s upcoming contract expiration, hopefully once everything is settled she’ll be back to YouTube with new videos.

This list is far from complete, with Namjoo Sekki’s mukbang channel and Jessi's coolness​ also coming recommended. Luckily for us, many entertainment companies and idols are realizing that YouTube is a great platform for connecting with fans and building a deeper relationship with them, so just keep scrolling!
