In his first single since his departure from JYP Entertainment, Mark Tuan gifts fans with a new single in collaboration with Sanjoy! Titled “One in a MillIon,” this single falls into the realm of R&B influence with hints of hip-hop sprinkled in, thanks to the beat that comes in during the chorus. The song itself features mostly bass guitar, which gives it this edgy and chill sound. But the moment the chorus kicks in, the beat drops, amplifying the catchy and addictive vibe to the song. Digging deeper into the meaning of the song, “One in a Million” is about that one person amongst a sea of people that is just “it” for them. When that person is found, there’s that instant connection and feeling of just knowing they have found their life partner. 

Prior to the release of the single, the GOT7 member launched his Twitch streaming channel. During the live broadcast, Mark treated fans to a first listen of “One in a Million” right before the song dropped. He also mentioned that as a surprise gift on Valentine’s Day, a special animated music video would be released worldwide for “One in a Million.” A refreshing detail for the song itself is that listeners get to hear Mark’s vocals take center stage with his rap taking a bit of a sideline; it’s a delightful treat as previously many did not have the chance to hear his vocals as often. 

The music video features a story of missed opportunities between two strangers that have crossed paths several times. Throughout their journey, the couple has had their paths intertwine and align but the two have never met. Just when they think that they finally have their chance to meet, they get swept up in the crowd and separated once again. But at the end, when all seems lost, their paths finally connect and the two lovers find each other. Animated versions of Mark and Sanjoy also make an appearance at the end of the music video, further putting the cherry on top of this sweet music video.

Mark and Sanjoy bring together a solid collaboration track with “One in a Million” and it is sure to be a song that is going to be on repeat for quite some time.
