Trailer Impressions: Vincenzo
Can’t get enough of Song Joongki in Space Sweepers? Good news for all you girls (and lads)—our favorite Korean heartthrob is going to star in tvN’s latest mobster thriller, Vincenzo.

Vincenzo tells the tale of Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joongki), a lawyer and consigliere (advisor) to an Italian mafia. After returning to Korea after a conflict within the organization, he joins Hong Chayoung (Jeon Yeobin), a tough lawyer at Woosang law firm, to punish villains who seem to always seem to be able to escape from the long arm of justice. They are faced with tough and ruthless villains within their own midst, such as Choi Myunghee (Kim Yeojin), a heartless lawyer who warns, “Don’t cross the line,” and even the head of the Woosang law firm, Hang Seunghyuk (Jo Hanchul). Eventually, the pair also faces off with the nefarious and power-hungry Babel Group and its President, Jang Hanseo (Kwak Dongyeon).
2PM’s Taecyeon will play Jang Joonwoo, an innocent intern at Woosang law firm who is seen getting riled up in the trailer. We are guessing that his role will become increasingly important as the series progresses.

Song Joongki’s delivery of the line “Only evil can punish evil” in the trailer was absolutely sick, and we totally approve of the change in his recent choice of roles from the sunny boy to the antihero, which longtime fans would probably share similar sentiments. Nonetheless, we are all looking forward to seeing him on screen again in dashing suits, and given that it’s a tvN weekend drama, we are sure the styling would be top-notch.

As Vincenzo says there won’t be any negotiations, viewers can expect a good amount of action scenes to keep our eyes glued to our screen. With such a star-studded cast, it is a definite must-watch in our books.
Vincenzo will premiere this coming February 20 at 11 p.m. KST on tvN and new episodes will be available every Saturday and Sunday on Netflix. Mark your calendars and don’t miss it!
