Korean-American singer Ayden Ju Sings about the Love of His Life
From Los Angeles, California, comes singer-songwriter Ayden Ju with his debut track, “LOML.” The 22-year-old artist was born in South Korea and raised in LA. In 2014, Ju was scouted by a Korean entertainment company; however, Ju decided to move back to LA to pursue his dreams. Currently under 5A Label, also home to R&B singer Justin Park, Ju wishes to share his life story through his music and songwriting.
Ayden Ju’s debut track is titled “LOML,” which is a colloquial abbreviation for the phrase “love of my life.” Produced by Andre Melara, “LOML” is a smooth lo-fi track reminiscent of slow ‘00s R&B jams. The song features a soft melody that puts the focus on Ju’s soulful vocals and his soft rapping in the track’s verses. Paired with a hard hitting 808, the song showcases a beautiful contrast between Ju’s delivery and the track’s production. Through self-written lyrics, Ayden Ju describes the ups and downs of his past relationships during his time at California State University.
“I was in college when I wrote this song, so it was a very exciting and eventful point in my life. I think the college experience and simpler times had a huge influence on this particular track,” Ju stated.
“LOML” is a hopeful precursor to what Ayden Ju has to offer. With his songwriting and delivery, Ju is able to create an intimate experience for his audience. The Korean-American singer-songwriter is a bright new addition to the ever-growing Asian-American music community. Ju is expected to launch his full-length debut project in 2021.
