Kuk Seungpyo is an indie R&B singer inspired by American hip-hop and R&B. He debuted in 2018 with the song “Remain” and has been working hard ever since. In January 2021, he released his first all-English song “Why Do You” with Caleb Cruise. If that wasn't impressive enough, Kuk Seungpyo is also a popular YouTuber with over 106,000 subscribers.

Despite his busy schedule, Kuk Seungpyo was able to sit down with The Kraze to talk about his music, being a YouTuber, and what he likes to do when he isn't in the studio.

Q: You’ve just released “Why Do You” featuring Caleb Cruise, but have you ever thought about collaborating with a K-Pop artist? What type of song would you create with that person?

KSP: There are so many artists I want to collaborate with. For now, I want to concentrate on improving myself.

Q: Do you have a favorite song that you’ve written? Which is it and why do you like it so much?

 KSP: “Remain.” I like the song because it is made with sincerity based on my experience. It's my debut album, and I've been working alone for a long time, so I'm loving it.

Q: Your latest music video, “Why Do You,” received a lot of positive comments. Do you have any plans to release videos for songs you’ve already created like “Remain”?

KSP: I don’t have any plans to right now.

Q: How would you compare your debut song to your latest comeback?

KSP: As we release the album, I think we are becoming more mature musically. At first, I had a desire to write my own story. Now I am also interested in writing their stories while talking to many people.

Q: Has there ever been a time when you felt overwhelmed trying to balance your YouTube channel and your music career?

KSP: To be honest, there are a lot. YouTube and music activities both require creative elements, so it's hard to think a lot. I want to focus on one of them, but it's hard because with both of them you have to concentrate.

Q: If you could perform your music anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

KSP: I want to do it in America. The reason is because I admire American music, so I want to learn and perform music there.

Q: What is your favorite movie and why?

KSP: I like all Marvel movies. Among them, I like Spider-Man the most. The reason is because it contains memories of when I was young. I remember watching the first Spider-Man movie so much when I was young.

Q: Name 3 songs that you could listen to every day without getting tired of it.

KSP: The Weeknd - “Hardest To Love,” Migos - “Bad and Boujee,” Pink Sweats - “At My Worst.”

Q: What would be the name of your fandom?

KSP: I've never thought about it, but I'll make one if I get more fans.

Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t creating music or filming YouTube videos?

KSP: I like to eat food. Recently, I can't go out because of Corona, so I can't do other activities.

Q: What would you like to say to your international fans?
