MAMAMOO B-Sides

Known as the Vocal Queens of K-Pop, MAMAMOO is one of the most versatile female groups in the industry. Varying in style, genre, and sound, MAMAMOO continues to push the envelope with every release. Let’s take a look at some of their best B-sides that showcase their versatility.

“Sleep In The Car (잠이라도 자지)”

Sounding like an intense diss track, the hip-hop banger “Sleep In The Car (잠이라도 자지)” is in fact about sleeping in a car with one’s makeup on. The witty track is about the pains of busy idol schedules that the girls of MAMAMOO endure, and features one of the group’s strongest rap deliveries.

“4x4ever”

Included in MAMAMOO’s second studio album reality in BLACK, “4x4ever” is a bold anthem celebrating their youth and encouraging listeners to live their lives without any regrets. Rock instrumentation paired with MAMAMOO’s raspy vocals makes the track even more powerful.

“Waggy”

One of their most eccentric tracks, “Waggy” contains playful lyrics which are also brought to life during live stages. Wearing funny costumes, MAMAMOO brought something new and surprising everytime they performed the song. The light song was made brighter by trumpets and the group’s soft vocals.

“우리끼리 (Words Don’t Come Easy)”

Infused with a touch of Brazillian jazz, “우리끼리 (Words Don’t Come Easy)” is a sensual track from the group’s first studio album Melting. Over a bossa-nova melody, MAMAMOO sings of being infatuated by a crush with vocals worth melting over.
