While the month of June was not jam-packed with comebacks, fans were still treated well by their favorite artists. From sleek R&B to rock to dance-pop, let’s take a look at some standout B-side songs from June.
“Waitin’” by WEi
Incorporating catchy whistle riffs with the rhythmic trap beat, WEi is able to create a seductive track with “Waitin’” from the group’s latest album IDENTITY : Action. With sensual lyrics, WEi showcases a different side of themselves. The stage performances of the song featured simple yet sexy outfits and impactful choreography. “Pool Party” by Brave Girls ft. E-CHAN (DKB)
While “치맛바람 (Chi Mat Ba Ram)” was a wonderful follow-up to Brave Girls’s viral hit “Rollin’,” the group’s B-side “Pool Party” is a perfect follow-up to the hidden gem from 2020, “We Ride.” Incorporating disco pop and city pop sounds, “Pool Party” quickly became a fan-favorite, even receiving a proper music video. “Runaway” by EXO
Known for their standout B-side tracks, EXO released one of the most beautiful B-sides on their special album DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING. Co-written by Bazzi, “Runaway” is a grand R&B track, with heavy bass and drums and EXO’s signature vocal harmonies. Check out our review of EXO’s album here.
“Atlantis” by A.C.E
A.C.E returned with their fifth mini-album SIREN:DAWN. Besides the absolutely stunning concept photos and music video for “Higher,” A.C.E also created one of their most emotive tracks on the mini-album. “Atlantis” is a beautiful symphonic rock track co-composed and written by PENTAGON’s Kino about broken trust. “Dancing On My Own” by LOONA
