Songs for our Twenties
Going through your twenties and entering the adult world can be scary and cause a wide variety of feelings, from confusion to love. Many K-Pop artists have written songs about the feeling of youth in their twenties, giving us a reminder that we are not alone.
SEVENTEEN - “20”
“20” is a sweet ballad from SEVENTEEN that is a breath of fresh air, with the acoustic guitar paired with the strength of the vocals creating a carefree vibe. The lyrics are about being young and compare their love to the energy and youth of your twenties, which really adds to that light, youthful feeling you get while listening to it.
DEAN - “21”
“21” is a funky song, and DEAN’s vocals, particularly his falsetto during the chorus, will make you fall for this song. IU - “Twenty-three”
“Twenty-three” starts off slow and turns into an upbeat and colorful song. The lyrics are chock-full of deep meanings and metaphors that discuss IU’s struggles of wanting to be an adult while also feeling like a child. The music video is heavily inspired by Alice in Wonderland as IU visually demonstrates the identity crisis that is discussed in the lyrics.
