After just one month, Wonho has released another single called “Don’t Regret,” the first song on his second single album, Bittersweet, which was released on October 14, 2022. The song is written, composed, and arranged by Brother Su (브라더수), ENAN (Savage House Gang), Sun Ahn, and Wonho himself. The second song on the album is “On & On,” written, composed, and arranged by ENAN, Sun Ahn, Wonho, and featuring artist YUNHWAY.

“Don’t Regret” is a heartbreaking pop-rock ballad, quite unlike his previous singles. Wonho steps into a new era as he battles a breakup and tries not to regret his decisions. The music video starts after the breakup where Wonho tries to take back his choice of aggression and reflect on himself while walking away from his love. His ex-girlfriend is also introduced looking glum and regretful as she contemplates her new life. The bittersweet side is later shown when Wonho is clubbing and losing his cool as he throws a glass bottle, and his smile turns from happy to sad.

Seeing their bittersweet moments of loving versus fighting, it’s obvious that this once beautiful relationship turned sour when their personalities began to clash. The lyrics and music video complement each other well and hearing the phrase “don’t regret” repeatedly shows the difficulty of the characters trying to believe in their decisions and focus on their new selves as they step away from each other one last time. The message tells us that it’s better to face your inner demons and lose something important rather than stay in toxicity.
