On a bustling Sunday night in the city of the stars, another shining light by the name of AleXa graced the stage at AVALON in Hollywood and dazzled the crowd with her bright, charismatic presence. After the star’s triumphant win on NBC’s American Song Contest as a contestant representing her home state of Oklahoma, AleXa embarked on her first tour AleXa 1st Meet & Live Tour in U.S. in eight cities throughout the month of October. Known for her dancing skills, AleXa came out guns blazing with an energetic four-part opening set. She began the show with “A.I TROOPER” which served as the perfect introduction song with the opening line, “Hey, I am AleXa / Are you ready for me?” After a strong introduction that got the audience hyped up, the next three songs were a trilogy for her futuristic A.I multiverse concept: “Bomb,” “Do Or Die,” and “Revolution.” AleXa not only showed her charms as a performer but also as a funny and entertaining individual with her witty comments and interactions with the crowd in between her songs. You couldn’t help but feel like you're there at your best friend’s show—and that friend just happens to be a multi-talented performer as well!

For the next part of the concert, AleXa unveiled two unreleased songs, “Endorphins” and  “Please Try Again” from her upcoming album Back In Vogue which comes out on November 11. “Endorphins” is different from AleXa’s past EDM-intense releases with its bubblegum pop vibes. The bright track also has fun choreography that the singer said was her favorite to perform on tour in a ment. At one point during the song, AleXa held a camera tripod to film her wholesome interactions with fans and backup dancers. As a nod to her previous collaborations with TheFatRat and Bader AlShuabi, AleXa also performed “Rule the World” and “Is It On.” Taking a break from dancing, she sat down center stage on a stool to perform “Please Try Again,” a soft melodic track that had the crowd swaying along.

During the energetic concert, the K-Pop star took a moment to kindly ask those in the venue for a moment of silence in respect for the victims of the Itaewon tragedy and their families: “Many bright young stars, many young lives were lost in this tragedy that will forever go down in history as one of the worst things to happen in modern times in Korea. It’s forever going to change the lives of people they knew, friends, family, and loved ones.” As the lights dimmed and the stage went dark, “PRAY FOR ITAEWON” was shown on the LED screen throughout the silent moment. The Kraze team sincerely thanks AleXa for using her platform to spread awareness and pay respect to those who were affected by the devastating event.

Keeping the energy strong and the vibes lively, AleXa continued the show with hits such as “KITTY RUN,” “VILLAIN,” “Burn Out,” and “Obsession.” The 2021 single “Obsession” was composed by Lizzo’s sister, Vanessa Jefferson, who was at the show cheering and screaming for her friend from the balcony. The two exchanged a sweet moment as AleXa thanked Vanessa for collaborating on the passion project to which the composer shouted the same sentiments back. Toward the end of the show, AleXa performed Doja Cat’s “Woman” and slowed it down with her tracks “Never let you go” and fan song “Moon and Back,” where fans held up their LA stop slogans.

The concert ended with up-tempo “TATTOO” and “Xtra.” As the dance queen that she is, AleXa interacted with the audience by teaching them the point choreography to her 2022 release “TATTOO.” The singer came back on stage for an encore performance of “Wonderland,” the song that helped her become the first-ever winner of the American Song Contest. The performance received roaring screams from the fans and was the perfect ending to an all-round high-energy night.

Thank you ZB Label and Studio PAV for the opportunity to cover the show.
