Flowers, Blossoms, and More!

Springtime has us saying hello to beautiful colors from the flowers that bloom as the days warm up. This Throwback Thursday, we will take a look at some different flower and blossom-themed songs that are sure to prepare you for spring!

“Flower (You)”- VAV

VAV gives us a reggae beat in “Flower (You).” The song is overall quite simple, but the repeated “you hoo hoo” throughout the chorus is incredibly addictive and the members' harmonies are lovely. As the song is about a breakup, the music reflects this as they try to confess to a girl that is denying them every time they try to offer her flowers. The colors of the music video are extremely vivid, from blues, oranges, yellows and reds, as well as lots of flowers to give it that cheery springtime feel.

“Blossom” - Eunha X Ravi

Produced by GroovyRoom, it is astonishing that this song is an advertisement for Pepsi and was a part of the #ForTheLoveOfIt Campaign. The rhythm captures GroovyRoom’s style with the chill yet bouncy and upbeat sound. Ravi’s distinct voice pairs quite nicely with Eunha’s sweet singing voice, adding another unique sound to this song. The music video centers around a spring love story between Eunha and Ravi who keep meeting on accident and fall in love. Of course it would not be a spring love story without the cherry blossoms, which are featured everywhere throughout the music video.

“Flower”- GFRIEND

GFRIEND brings an absolutely adorable sound with their Japanese single “Flower.” The mix of orchestral, Spanish influence, and bubblegum pop in this song brings a breath of fresh air with such an upbeat tune and bright vocals. The music video smacks you with bright pinks and lots of flower accents, including the carpet, stained glass windows, and even a giant floral mural. The choreo matches the cheeriness flawlessly, making it such a happy tune that is impossible to get tired of while listening

“Flower Shower”- HyunA

HyunA brings a unique twist to the cheery pop style with “Flower Shower.” This playful song allows HyunA to show off her vocal and rap skills. The whistle-like chorus is extremely catchy and matches the bubbliness of this video, which really hones in on the beauty of nature. It is filled with gorgeous scenery, lots of flowers, and various floral and bright colored flowy dresses worn by HyunA, giving her a more elegant style.
