Exciting Dramas to Start the Second Quarter of the Year

It’s hard to believe that the second quarter of 2022 is almost here, but it is! K-Dramas are extremely popular internationally right now, and between that and the fact that streaming services are clamoring to have the next smash hit, drama fans have a lot of new content to enjoy. So! Here is a list of dramas that will begin airing in April that may become your new favorite.

Tomorrow

Do you believe in the supernatural? Choi Joonwoong (Rowoon) doesn’t. He’s just an average person, job hunting like hundreds of other folks in the world. He tries hard but is having difficulty finding work, and he feels awful about it. Then, one night he meets two angels of death, Gu Ryeon (Kim Heesun) and Im Ryooggu (Yoon Jion). They are part of a crisis management team, where they save suicidal people. Soon Joonwoong joins their team, finds himself half-human, half-spirit, and finds a new purpose in his life.  

Tomorrow will be available starting April 1 on Netflix.

Again My Life

Kim Heewoo (Lee Joongi) was not a great high school student. He always ended up at the bottom of his class. However, through sheer perseverance, he managed to get into college and worked hard to become a prosecutor. Unfortunately, during one high-profile case, where Heewoo is investigating a corrupt politician, he is murdered. However, Heewoo wakes up the next day as if nothing happened. Now he must figure out who killed him and why.

Three siblings, Yeom Changhee (Lee Minki), Yeom Mijung (Kim Jiwon), and Yeom Kijung (Lee El), want to escape where they’re from and explore the world. Changhee doesn’t have a goal in life other than to leave Sanpo Village—this causes his family to look down on him. Kijung works hard in Seoul and spends most of her time commuting. Mijung is the youngest and the most timid of the siblings. One day, a stranger walks into their small village and changes their lives forever. Mijung gathers her courage to talk to the stranger and starts to feel as if her life has more meaning.

Our Blues

Our Blues follows an all-star cast as they navigate life on Jeju Island. Lee Byunghun plays Lee Dongseok, a simple man that sells random items from his truck. He meets Min Sunah (Shin Minah), a woman who recently moved to Jeju. The local people consider her mysterious because they don’t know her past. Meanwhile, Choi Hansoo (Cha Seungwon) returns to the island after years away. He reunites with his first love, who now runs a fishing store.

This wholesome drama will be available on Netflix.

Shooting Stars

The entertainment world isn’t always glitzy. Oh Hanbyeol (Lee Sunkyung) is the team leader of a PR management company. She manages Gong Taesung (Kim Youngdae), a top actor loved by many people due to his kind persona. However, Hanbyeol knows that the kindness that Taesung shows the world isn’t his true self, as she has seen his temper. The two argue about almost everything, and Hanbyeol does whatever she can to keep his image clean and keep her job. After spending long periods together, they develop feelings for each other, but will they let a little thing like love get in the way of their careers?

Shooting Stars will begin on April 22 on Viki.

Monstrous

Jung Kihoon (Ko Kyohwan) was used to the unexpected as an archaeologist, so nothing caught him off guard until something caused him to change the trajectory of his life. Now he publishes the magazine and Youtube channel, Monthly Strange Story. His ex-wife contacts him to research an evil Buddha statue in Jiyang County. While there, Kihoon and the rest of the town experience bizarre occurrences that have to do with the supernatural.

Showtime Begins

Famous magician Cha Chawoong (Park Haejin) can also communicate with ghosts. He uses their help with his performances, and no one is the wiser. He crosses paths with Go Seulhae (Jin Kijoo), a police officer that can also see ghosts. While Chawoong feels comfortable around supernatural beings, Seulhae isn’t. Still, she convinces him to join forces with her to use his abilities to catch criminals. The unusual duo set out to solve a crime connected to Chawoong with the help of their mystical sidekicks.
