Boy Groups: May Debuts

May holds many birthdays for K-Pop groups that have been popular throughout the years. For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we will be taking a look at various K-Pop boy groups that debuted in May.

“Replay” - SHINee

“Replay” is SHINee’s debut song and is a perfect showcase of the group’s talent. It has a beautiful R&B melody with soothing vocals and dance moves that perfectly suit the smoothness of the song. It was hard not to fall in love with all of the members upon debut!

“Adore U” - SEVENTEEN

“Adore U” immediately pulls the listener in with its groovy bass line that turns into a fun pop sound. The tune is bright and fresh, allowing you to focus on how powerful it is to see 13 members performing together. The music video continues that happy feeling from this tune, showing us a refreshing look at SEVENTEEN while allowing each member a chance to show off their adorable charms.

“Trespass” - MONSTA X

MONSTA X brought the aggression with their debut song, “Trespass.” Written by rapper Mad Clown, it is an intense EDM song that highlights the members’ cool charms and powerful raps. JOOHONEY’s strong performance throughout the song is quite unforgettable and really adds to the angst.

“SUPER HERO” - VIXX

VIXX debuted May 24, 2012 with their song, “SUPER HERO.” It is a bright and cheery song, chock-full of color. Although it has a typical sound compared to other songs released in the 2010s, “SUPER HERO” is such an upbeat and colorful track, it is hard not to play it again.

Which debut song are you still obsessed with?
