NCT 127 Appointed as the Newest Brand Ambassadors for PUMA
NCT 127 are the newest Asian-Pacific Brand Ambassadors for PUMA following their popularity in the region. PUMA announced the partnership with the group on July 29, taking to socials with the news captioning it: "Welcome to the #PUMAFAM @nct127 đź’š"
PUMA released its official campaign video for the newest design of the Slipstream sneaker, going full futuristic mode with it and showcasing the advancements of the sneaker in a creative, modern way that would catch the eyes of anyone viewing it.
The “Discover your space with PUMA Slipstream” campaign video is very neo with the advanced use of technology throughout, which simply called for NCT 127 to join.
The Slipstream sneaker has upheld its popularity from its initial release in 1987 and has made itself a staple shoe within the PUMA brand. In a way, the Slipstream represents the origins of PUMA, recalling its practical silhouette which especially appealed to basketball players. The sneaker fit is perfect for casual wear with its modernized design, color, and fit but also for practical wear with its cushioning soles, perfect for active movements.
The Slipstream video promo that NCT 127 did features old-school elements similar to PUMA’s prior promotions for the sneakers.
As part of the promotion with the brand, alongside purchasing the sneakers, buyers will also be given an exclusive limited edition photocard of each member. The photocards are exclusive to Asian-Pacific (Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.) stores only.
This is just one of the many collaborations that NCT 127 has garnered this year, as the first portion of their self-design capsule with REPRESENT went live in July. NCT 127 continues to grow through their music and with every campaign and collaboration that comes their way.
The new Slipstream sneakers will be available from September 15 via the official PUMA website.
