Throwback Thursday: Thunder

This week’s Throwback Thursday is all about thunder. From powerful tracks to synth beats, these thunder-themed songs will bring you a range of catchy music.

“Thunder” - EXO

This R&B track gives off that late ‘90s throwback sound, as its smooth beats create quite a seductive song. Although the melody is rather simple, it allows the vocalists to shine. The members' voices are incredible in the track, making for such a beautiful song.

“소리꾼 (Thunderous)” - Stray Kids

Stray Kids brings the hype with this electronic track, “소리꾼 (Thunderous).” From the hard-hitting raps to the striking chorus, it is a high-intensity track that is equally addictive. The song uses a mix of traditional and modern instrumentation, giving the song a unique style and allowing the group to give a bold performance. The music video matches the song's energy by giving viewers a strong dance performance from the members. Throughout the music video, the continuation of modern and more traditional Korean inspiration can be found in the members’ looks and sets. One of the more clever aspects of the video is when parts of the scenes switch between animated and real life.

“Thunder” - VERIVERY

With a heavy bass, “Thunder” by VERIVERY gives off a dark style throughout this track. This edgy song immediately begins with a spooky autotuned whisper that turns into a powerful synth-heavy track with some strong high notes from the group. The music video matches the eerie feeling of the song, following VERIVERY while they look for their missing member, Kangmin. Their dance performance is quite dramatic and syncs perfectly with the epicness of the song.
