Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2023 Show Takes on Seoul
With 24 hours on the clock, Seoul's Jamsu Bridge had transformed into the perfect catwalk in preparation for the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2023 Seoul show.
On April 29, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Creative Director of Louis Vuitton womenswear, showcased his latest designs in the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2023 collection, hosted in Seoul.
The fashion show being held in Seoul holds a great significance in regards to the country’s growing influence on the world. It was announced last month that Louis Vuitton has signed an agreement with the Korea Tourism Organization and Seoul Metropolitan Government to partner on events across the city this year. From K-Pop to Korean films and TV becoming popular, many people are now turning to Seoul as the newest "it" global capital.
Guests were welcomed to sit along Han River to the catwalk set specifically designed by Hwang Donghyuk, director of globally acclaimed Netflix show Squid Game, where actress, model, and house ambassador Jung Hoyeon opened up the show. Ghesquiere’s vision encapsulated the ever-growing racer-themes in his pieces: from metal-wear, leather materials, and checkerboard prints. Ghesquiere pairs these bright primary-colored pieces with the brand's more neutral palette, using accessories and zipper panels to take over the look.

From Felix of Stray Kids to Jaden Smith, Chloë Grace Moretz to Kōki, Seoul welcomed everyone to view the newest womenswear collection.
Amongst those invited to watch the show, NCT’s Yuta makes his second appearance at a Louis Vuitton event after attending the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusamacollaboration installation in Tokyo. NewJeans’ Hyein, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, Girls Generation’s Taeyeon, and LE SSERAFIM members are just a few of the acclaimed names seen at the event. What should the next Louis Vuitton event in Korea be?
