Title Track - “BONA BONA”

The rollercoaster of emotions I feel while listening to this track is crazy. When the song starts, there's a jingle in the beginning and my first thought is, “Oh, this is going to be a cute, bright concept like ‘MY TREASURE’”—but it isn’t. This track is forceful, mighty, and strong. When it comes to music, I am personally a sucker for a beat change, and the moment it happened in the chorus, I melted. The switch in the beat changed the whole trajectory of the song. One moment it’s cute with a drumline and electro-pop beat, and then bam, you’re hit with dynamic vocals, rapping, and of course, TREASURE’s iconic party ending. Another part that stood out to me was the powerful rapping in the second verse. It was electric and the lyrics were adorable. The lyrics talk about how they were born to love their partner, and it is honestly so darling. Now, the dance is forceful. The military-themed dance moves incorporated like the salute and marching into lines matched the song perfectly.

The video is a little confusing to me. I did notice that the rooms they are in are on the boat, and then it started clicking for me. Even though I don’t really understand the message behind the video, I will say that it's really beautiful. Each scene is gorgeous, and my personal favorite is the room with the flowers. It’s so stunning, and the members look amazing. It’s a really good title track.

“I WANT YOUR LOVE”

This track is a change of scenery from the hard-hitting title track that we heard previously. The cute lyrics talk about how they just want this person to love them back. They want to know if that person feels the same way as them. The backing reminds me of 2016 The Chainsmokers. It’s a great dance track that’s going to have many listeners swaying in their rooms.

“RUN”

A word to describe this song: fun. I want to jump around my room blasting this song through my speakers. The lyrics talk about how crappy the world is, and how they only want to be with the person they love. They want to run away with them, and nothing else matters, only that person. This is a pop song. It’s upbeat and peppy and a delight to listen to.

“MOVE (T5)”

The backing of this song is giving retro in a ‘90s hip-hop and R&B kind of way. Now this sub-unit is called TREASURE (T5) and features members Jihoon, Junkyu, Jaehyuk, Doyoung, and Junghwan. The sub-unit dropped this track a month before the actual album release and I have been playing it on repeat. Like I said previously, I am a sucker for a beat change in a song, and the dance break for this track has it. The highlighted saxophone and the bold dancing stood out. The dance moves are robotic, but also smooth at the same time. It is a sight to see and is definitely one of my favorites.

“G.O.A.T (RAP Unit)” [feat. Lee Younghyun]

I am amazed by this song. I had to pause what I was doing and listen to this track five times in a row, and I can’t be the only one who needs a video for it. The band in the background hypes up any listener. The piece is fiery and dynamic. This song is sung by the rap unit of TREASURE: members Hyunsuk, Yoshi, and Haruto. The song features amazing vocalist Lee Younghyun who is a great addition to this song. While it’s not a song many would think of when they hear “rap unit,” it’s a masterpiece and is a top-tier B-side.

“STUPID”

The complete one-eighty that we did coming from the previous song to this one makes my mind spin—but in a good way. The vibe of this song is lighthearted and cheerful, but the lyrics aren’t as optimistic. In the lyrics, the members talk about how they feel stupid for not caring for their partner like they were supposed to, and because of that, they lost their partner to someone else. They only wish that they would come back to them. The lyrics are profound and make you think, and it will throw you for a loop. The vibe makes you want to drive with the windows down, but the lyrics make you want to clutch at your heart.

“THE WAY TO (VOCAL Unit)”

Now I want to cry. I couldn’t help myself, I could only sit back and just think. This unit is performed by the vocal unit. The members of this unit are Jihoon, Junkyu, and Jeongwoo. In this track, the lyrics hold a story. The lyrics talk about how they feel they are in this constant loop; how they are just…sad. They also talk about how they want to protect this little doll in them from the world. I think many listeners can see two different stories from this song. One is them talking about a person they love, who they see living an amazing life now that they aren’t together, or them watching someone random live a great life. It’s a powerful piece that pulls at your heart strings.

“WONDERLAND”

“Let’s go to beach-each.” That’s how I feel while listening to this song. This song should be played on a trip to the beach with a group of friends. I’m really enjoying myself listening to this track, and it also has really cute lyrics, for example how they view their partner as their wonderland. They explain how when they are down, they call for their wonderland—their partner. It’s a really cute song.

“B.O.M.B”

This is another adorable track from TREASURE, and I love it. This pop, disco-inspired track makes many listeners' hearts flutter. In the lyrics, they explain the pattern of their heartbeat every time they are around the person they like. They only want this person to like them back in the end. This song is so precious and makes you say “aww” whenever it plays.

“LOVESICK”

The whistling at the beginning of this track automatically brought a smile to my face. I instantly started swaying to the beat, and when the members started singing gracefully, I felt so proud of them. They match the vibe of the song to a T, effortlessly. In the song, they talked about how without their partner's love, they feel lovesick. Without their partner, the nights feel darker, they are stuck in a maze, and that no matter what’s going on, they want to be with them. They associate this deep feeling with a disease that can’t be cured, and it’s a funny analogy to use for love. It is a remarkable way to end the album. It’s cute, fun, and a joy to listen to overall.

This is a really good album. As a Treasure Maker, I was anticipating this comeback, and they did not disappoint. 2ND FULL ALBUM ‘REBOOT’ showcased so many different genres of music and has lyrics that make you think. They put their all into this album and I, fellow Treasure Makers, and many K-Pop listeners are excited for the projects TREASURE will do in the future.
