Prepare to Lose Yourself With KISS OF LIFE’s New Release

Our 2000 girls are back and have given us a jam-packed album! The “BRATZ” of K-Pop, KISS OF LIFE, released a seven-song album titled Lose Yourself. Trust me, you will lose yourself while listening to this album. Each song is so much fun to listen to and has such a particular sound.

Lose Yourself Tracklist:

  1. “Get Loud” (Title Track)

  2. “R.E.M”

  3. “Chemistry”

  4. “Igloo”

  5. “Too Many Alex”

  6. “ Back To Me”

  7. “No One But Us”

“Get Loud” To This Title Track

The album starts off strong, with the first song being the title track, “Get Loud.” This upbeat dance track has a Latin influence and addictive beat. While listening, I found myself dancing along to the track. The girls make you feel like you are at a party with this song. “Get Loud” is rap-heavy but still showcases the members' vocals. There are parts where the members are doing scale-like runs and it is so satisfying to hear. Those iconic whistle tones we hear from member Belle can be heard throughout the song as well.

The music video shows the members in different settings. The girls are seen in striking outfits. The difference between streetwear and more formal wear shows the personality of each member. There is one scene where the members and dancers dance in front of this colorful backdrop. It is so cool to see. Speaking of the choreography, I can see everyone doing this dance. The moves are hard-hitting and showcase the talent of the KISS OF LIFE members. It is a very catchy song and would be perfect in any club setting.

It’s now time to talk about those amazing B-sides. KISS OF LIFE never misses when it comes to their B-sides, and these tracks are prime examples. It wouldn’t be shocking if I said a lot of the songs are my favorites. With each song, I felt like I was being transported into a different setting.

“R.E.M” is a pre-release that had us all excited for the album release. Listening to this song made me feel groovy. This track is in English and is a pop/R&B slow jam that had me swaying my hips. The moment the song starts, you are instantly hooked. The girls’ vocals are smooth and carry so much soul.

“Igloo” made me feel like I was filming my own music video. It is such a girl boss track and is fully in English, and the performance video is everything I pictured. The girls look so cool in their all-black shades, and the choreography looks like so much fun. It’s a cool track.

Another song that stood out is, “Chemistry.” This ‘90s-inspired track took me back to the ‘90s. While listening to this song, I found myself swaying and nodding my head along to the beat. This type of sound truly fits KISS OF LIFE. They are already known for their early 2000s style and they did great with this ‘90s concept.

I only skimmed some of the B-sides. There are so many other tracks on the album that speak to different people specifically. I truly recommend that everyone go and listen to Lose Yourself. It is such a banger of an album and every song is so good.

“Get Loud” TRACK SCORE: 9/10
