It’s “So Cool” to Listen to These DAY6 B-Sides
There is a K-Pop group that I truly believe needs to be talked about more, and that is JYP Entertainment’s rock group, DAY6. This group is the definition of talent. Not only can they sing, they can act, and they play their own instruments. Since 2015, DAY6 has released banger after banger, and on those albums and EPs are masterpieces. So, let’s talk about some DAY6 B-sides that we just can’t get enough of.
“I’m Serious” - SUNRISE
I am serious when I say this song is so good. On June 7, 2017, DAY6 dropped their first full-length album, SUNRISE. Jam-packed with so many great songs, this more upbeat dance track stood out to me and many others. With a more bubbly approach, “I’m Serious” brings a smile to your face. Just like the members in the video, you just want to play this on full blast with your windows down, singing the lyrics. It’s such a great song, and I understand why so many My Days (DAY6’s fandom) love the song.
“So Cool” - Remember Us: Youth Part 2
Just like the title says, this song is just “So Cool.” On December 10, 2018, DAY6 gave us an early Christmas gift and dropped their album, Remember Us: Youth Part 2. This album is my personal favorite. I lose my mind every time I listen to it. It was hard to pick just one song, but I had to pick my girl: my favorite song is definitely “So Cool.” The sound to it and the way the members hit the falsettos just tickle the right part of my brain. I recommend this song to everyone. I feel like this song is not only a fantastic song to listen to, but also has that iconic rock sound to it.
“EMERGENCY” - The Book of Us: Entropy
This is a turn! This was something different and we were here for it. On October 22, 2019, the infamous album The Book of Us: Entropy dropped and rocked our worlds. Following the hard-hitting title track “Sweet Chaos” is a song bound to get you right out of your seat. “EMERGENCY” is electric and you can hear it throughout the song. The song is carried by its ‘80s synth sound that adds a more retro vibe to the entire song. I find myself throughout the day just singing the lyrics: “Breathe in and out. Out of control. Breathe in and out. Breathe in and o-o-out and o-o-out.” It’s a fun song that makes you want to groove.
