BTOB has returned with new digital single “Be Alright” less than a month after the last digital single, “Please Stay.” This is the second installment of their three part “Becoming Project.” “Be Alright” drops just in time to kick off the holiday season. 

Though two vocalists Sungjae and Changsub aren’t around for this release, the vocal lines still carry this light and airy track. The soft acoustic track places most of the emphasis on the optimistic lyrical lines, creating a warm feeling for the holidays. Hyunsik and Eunkwang carry the vocals, while Peniel offers a soft rap verse, with my man Minhyuk delivering both backup vocals and a harder rap verse in the track to cover all bases. The group is more known for their ballad releases, so it’s nice to get a more upbeat acoustic single from them to diversify their sound.

The video is quite simple, with the quartet performing in a holiday decorated room in very soft, cozy looking sweaters. The set definitely gives off home for the holidays vibes, accentuated by a number of vintage camera shots through the performance. The plain and simple video vibes with the cozy nature of the track, making its  simplicity perfect in its own right. We love to see BTOB thriving after all this time, and they truly seem to be enjoying themselves.
