LE SSERAFIM Make Their Return Look “EASY”

The girls of LE SSERAFIM have made their comeback with their third mini-album EASY with the title track of the same name.

“EASY” is a much more light sounding track that utilizes more of the lower vocal ranges as well as a gentler instrumental that is easy on the ears for listeners. It’s the most versatile sound so far by the group and was still done super well. It continues the group’s trajectory of their growth as artists as well. In an interview with USA Today, member Yunjin describes “EASY” as a “build on what the group has done in the past while adding a sense of depth.” In the same interview, member Kazuha discussed how this album in particular allowed the girls to both grow as artists but also refine their own individual skills.

“EASY” continues the similar message as their debut of being fearless, but also shows the girls have struggles they have overcome that they make look easy. To fit the theme of their struggles, the music video depicts darker themes to show despite the confidence the group typically shows off, they have a lot of fears and worries to overcome as well. Despite their worries however, the girls’ visuals were absolutely stunning here, and the aesthetics fit the vibe of the video wonderfully.

The mini album is made up of five songs with “Good Bones,” “Swan Song,” “Smart,” and “We got so much,” alongside the title track. Yunjin gained more song writing credits to her name for “Swan Song,” “Smart,” and “We got so much.” Chaewon, Sakura, and Kazuha got credits as well for “Swan Song,” and youngest member Eunchae wrote alongside Yunjin for “We got so much.”
