HITC Returns to N.Y. May 2024 Featuring JOJI, (G)I-DLE, BIBI and More!

Last year, New York experienced the phenomenon of 88Rising’s HITC aka Head In The Clouds festival for the first time, letting New Yorkers embrace the amazing range of Asian artists in this two day whirlwind festival. Those who were there might recall the sea of lights for NIKI, the energy of ITZY and XG, or Rich Brian’s floating imagery. Of course there was also the ponchos and the rain, which didn’t stop anyone or anything. As for this year, well, our Magic 8 ball states that in regards to sunshine, “it is decidedly so.” HITC New York is back with a roster of veteran and new HITC festival artists ready to show New York what they have to offer. Whether new to HITC, 88Rising, or new to New York, it’s time to get your tickets now to join the party this May. Let’s take a look at some of the artists who will grace the HITC stages as a reminder that this is not a festival to miss.

THE GODDESSES OF (G) I-DLE

Whether it's vocals, stage presence, swag, or rap prowess, (G)I-DLE kills it every time. Though this might be their first foray into HITC domestically, they’re not new to the festival as they graced the Cloud stage in Jakarta in 2022. The quintet composed of Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua are bound to unleash their performance prowess and we can’t wait to see it live! If you haven’t heard or seen their latest releases, this is the time to check out “Wife” and get your wigs to cosplay this iconic look!

THE ICON THAT IS JOJI

JOJI returns to the HITC stage giving his presence to any New Yorkers who might have missed one of his tour stops last year. A smaller stage compared to Madison Square Garden or Barclays, his performance here is bound to be moving against the night sky resulting in an  experience that will not be forgotten. Those who have seen him at other HITC locations know why seeing him live is such a moving experience. Get ready to have your senses infused again with the sound of JOJI.

THE BEAUTY (AND THE BEAST) OF BIBI

With a visage that is sometimes innocent, sometimes naughty, but always a gorgeous mix of sweetness and sexy, the grounded yet ethereal figure of BIBI never fails to hit with her sound. A voice with that subtle husky undertones that can pack as much power as honey, BIBI has been a powerful beast shattering hearts since her debut. She will make her inaugural performance in New York at HITC. Though she has graced the HITC stages in LA and Jakarta, New Yorkers are bound to give her a welcome that won’t be forgotten. In the meantime, check out her latest release, “Bam Yang Gang” and the video for “Sugar Rush” that releases next week on February 20.

With other stellar artists such as ATARASHII GAKKO!, wave to earth, Balming Tiger, YOUNG POSSE (who makes you crave mac and cheese), Warren Hue, Spence Lee, and of course the crazy set that will feature ILLENIUM and DABIN together, this HITC will definitely be a party that will showcase some of the best music that Asian artists have to offer. Join us at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens this upcoming May 11 and 12 at one of the showcase celebrations of AAPI Heritage during Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month (observed in the United States in May). Tickets are on sale now, so don’t wait and we hope to see everyone there!
