Throwback Thursday: March Debuts Part 2

Hello, and welcome back. Last time, we started part one of the many debuts that happened in March. Today, we are going to take it back and in part two, talk about the growth and the beginning of some of our favorite groups.

Stray Kids - “District 9”

On March 25, 2018, JYP Entertainment hit boy group Stray Kids dropped their hard-hitting, bass-induced track, “District 9.” This debut came in with a bang. The electro beat and fast-paced rap create a dynamic debut that we can’t forget. The video truly backs up the track. The dark, dystopian setting creates a feeling that matches the song. Stray Kids have blown up ever since their debut in 2018. These boys have been on a roll with multiple albums, tours, and awards. Their debut put their name out in the world, and the following releases didn’t disappoint.

TXT (Tomorrow x Together) - “CROWN”

Bright, colorful, joyful, and adorable are a few words I can use to describe this iconic debut. On March 4, 2019, BigHit Entertainment/HYBE's well-known boy group TXT (Tomorrow x Together) debuted their adorable track “CROWN.” Everything about this debut brings pure joy to any listener and watcher. The video looks like so much fun. Watching the members jump around and dance makes you want to join along. “CROWN” is the definition of pop and showcases the members’ dancing and singing abilities. The song is upbeat, and you can’t help but smile while singing along. It’s a track that everyone knows. To this day, you can find covers of this song being performed and covered. It’s a joy to see the members blossom into the singers, rappers, and dancers we know now.

JUS2 - “FOCUS ON ME”

When the news of this duo's debut broke, the excitement was felt all around. Former JYP Entertainment boy group GOT7 had its first sub-unit in a while. JUS2 is a sub-unit that features members JAY B and Yugyeom. On March 5, 2019, their R&B release showcases the two vocalists’ dancing and singing abilities to the highest extent. Their voices merge perfectly, and it was exciting to see the leader and youngest come together to give us an R&B masterpiece. Their voices are soothing, and the choreography for this song was so satisfying and mesmerizing to watch. The intricate hand movements and footwork made for some choreography that we will never forget. This is a debut that will go down in history for sure.
