Loossemble Kicks Off Their First Comeback with a “Girls’ Night”

Loossemble makes their first return seven months after debuting! The quintet of former LOONA members Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon, and Hyeju started their new journey last September, and have now made their first comeback to showcase their new journey. For many fans of LOONA, it’s been a treat to see some members that barely got time on a song before get more recognition. The new mini-album One of a Kind features eight new tracks, with all the members participating in songwriting for the album.

The title track of the album, “Girls’ Night,” is an energetic pop track with a heavy focus on the vocal talents of the group. The song has a catchy, summer vibe that fits with the warming weather and elicits a feeling of cheery positivity from start to finish. It is quite nice to see each member get their moment. While the track might not hit on the first play, with each consecutive listen it becomes more and more addictive.

Much of the buzz around the music video has to do with fans drawing parallels to the complex storylines behind LOONA’s original inception. That was definitely something that many fans loved about the original group, so it’s great that they’ve been able to carry that over. The visuals in the video are great, mixing a traditional summery vibe during the day with a darker concept at night, accented by all black leather outfits. Their final choreography shot at night with pink and orange accented outfits complimented by fireworks in the background stuck out particularly well with the theme and left an impression. The video also features an additional minute at the conclusion of the song to further solidify portions of the storyline in the video, giving viewers a chance to interpret its meaning for themselves.
