RIIZE Returns With New Release “Impossible” Just in Time for Hot Boy Summer

After crushing this year with the long-awaited studio single release of “Siren” and taking the No. 5 spot in the Circle Charts rankings with “Love 119”, RIIZE isn’t done skyrocketing to the top. The SM Entertainment boy group recently released “Impossible,” a high-energy, house music song to tease their upcoming mini-album “RIIZING”.

“Impossible” takes RIIZE into a new sound without straying too far from the group's laid-back concept. The song features a fun house music style that’s perfect for getting on your feet and busting a move. Listeners can instantly recognize the early 2010's-inspired sound that you could imagine bumping from a DJ booth at a pool party.

On top of the satisfying, almost nostalgic energy that RIIZE often implements in their music, “Impossible” also showcases some of the best vocals we’ve heard from the group since “Love 119.” Almost every line of the song sits in a higher register, but each member pulls off their parts quite well.

The music video for the single offers SM's signature cinematic spectacles with the members dancing through an empty train station, cut between vintage-looking footage of them chilling out on a rooftop and biking through the streets. The cool tone of the visuals, the impressive choreography, and even the scene where the members are freestyle dancing for a crowd all help evoke that free-as-the-wind feeling that the song exudes and what RIIZE’s concept is beginning to carve itself into.

“Impossible” does a great job of showcasing the group’s versatility. Even though RIIZE is still in their rookie days, listeners have seen the members tackling an impressive variety of music styles, from the Y2K vibes of “Get A Guitar” to the intense, rap-heavy sound of their debut single, “Siren.” It's also one of those tracks that you could show to someone who isn't as familiar with K-Pop, and they would probably still enjoy it simply because of the infectious house music beat.

As a teaser for their highly-anticipated mini-album, this newest track from RIIZE is a great way to get fans ready for what’s in store from one of the industry’s most buzzed-about boy groups and the perfect track to queue up for those summer dance parties.
