What’s The Kraze: 2025 Predictions

This week, we asked the staff their predictions for 2025! What do we anticipate happening in the Korean entertainment sphere? What are some things we hope to see happen? Read on to find out.

Jean (Photographer): Hope you have savings, because I predict this may be the biggest year yet for concerts and events outside of Korea. With the weakening of the Korean won, I see an increase of events abroad from the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and more. Stray Kids, SM Town, NCT 127, aespa, TAEMIN, j-hope, and more have already started. I predict G-DRAGON, ZEROBASEONE, BOYNEXTDOOR, KATSEYE, ENHYPEN, KISS OF LIFE, Red Velvet, Rosé, and LISA tours. With personal faves of mine returning from military service this summer, I expect an exciting second half to the year with comebacks from Kai, MONSTA X members, WOODZ, Forrestella's Woorim, Zelo, and BTS. The VR experience is just going to expand and more virtual engagement and concert movies.

On the drama front, excitement for the webtoon crossover dramas already building with Study Group, Omniscient Reader, Weak Hero 2, and of course, the culmination of Squid Game.

Khannie (Chief Executive Officer): Will BTS actually be ready for a comeback later this year or would it be more so in early 2026?

Roxy (Chief Marketing Officer): I did see some rumblings about a The Most Beautiful Moment in Life reunion tour this year and I can't even begin to express how badly I want that.

Khannie: We never got that tour in the States all those years ago so yeah I badly want that too!

Kelly (Co-Editor-in-Chief): Ooh you mean like the Epilogue tour? That was probably my favorite concert ever from them.

Roxy: Yeah, since it's the 10 year anniversary of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1. I would literally fistfight a horde of muscular men for a ticket to that.

Kelly: So true. I’m infamous for crying (like…..sobbing) at concerts so I fear the amount of tears I’d be shedding at a HYYH concert.

Roxy: Same, I already wept at the Agust D concert.

Kelly: It’d be interesting to see what a modern day BTS tour would look like in terms of size, considering j-hope’s tour and the fact that BTS already is in stadiums.

Roxy: A little more of a negative prediction, but I feel like NewJeans is gonna be done this year after all the drama last year. There’s now some rumblings about Min Heejin "abandoning" them, and if that is true after all of this, I think either they have to return to HYBE or they'll fade into obscurity at a smaller company that took a chance on their popularity. Really frustrating to watch this all play out and I hope I'm wrong but seen this kind of thing many times before.

Cidney (Writer): I agree with Jean. I think this year is going to be jam-packed when it comes to concerts/events outside of Korea. From the lineup of tours that have already been announced, I can tell many groups will drop those announcements soon. Especially, so it's time for those summer tours. I also think we are going to get an influx of debuts this year as well. With many 3rd-gen, even 4th-gen, groups starting their mandatory enlistments, I believe this is going to be the year of one where we are going to see a bunch of sub-units and soloists debut.
