The Sweet Return of j-hope

2025 holds big things for j-hope. Hardly six months after completing his military service, the powerhouse idol is back with his first solo world tour and most recently, his latest single “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel).” </deck>

Broadening his horizons even further from past releases like 2018’s Hope World, 2022’s Jack In The Box, and 2024’s HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, the single shows yet another side to j-hope as an artist. The romantic track sees the rapper at his sweetest yet, crooning in English alongside American singer Miguel. With a light beat, the song lends itself well to the airy vocals and repetitive lyrics, and is sure to have everyone falling even more in love with j-hope.

The music video is just as appropriately dreamy. Seemingly picking up where the music video for his first official solo venture “Daydream” left off all the way back in 2018, j-hope wakes up in a house floating high in the sky. Despite this, he dances around the chaos, effortlessly grooving around levitating clothes and household items. Miguel makes his own cameos as well, guest-starring in a talk show on j-hope’s television as it defies gravity like the rest of his possessions. Following the demolition of his house, still suspended in midair as construction workers throw his belongings out the windows, j-hope sweetly meets a girl in the middle of the street below.

“Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)” is an easy introduction back into j-hope, which honestly, is a blessing considering how formidable of an artist he is; it certainly has us hopeful for what the future holds for both him and fans around the world.
