There has been a lot of anticipation around the debut of the new boy group TEMPEST, especially after their debut was delayed due to the members contracting COVID-19. Media outlets got a first look at the hot debut during the group’s debut showcase on March 2, 2022.

The group’s title track “Bad News” has already taken the world by storm, and the first taste of it at the showcase showed a dynamic and talented rookie group. The fresh and youthful sound is accompanied by upbeat and energetic choreography. In addition to the title, the group also performed their promoted B-side “Just a Little Bit,” which has a different tone from the title. The song itself is softer and smoother with a sentimental feeling, which provides a different side to the group. The performance still showcases the youthfulness of the boys, but the choreography has a different feel and showcases a more serious mood. Whereas “Bad News” had a cheeky and mischievous vibe, “Just a Little Bit” has a more tender and emotional tone.

In this showcase, the seven boys of TEMPEST showed two different sides of themselves, proving that the hype surrounding their debut was well-deserved. The numbers prove they’re living up to the hype, and we’re excited to see how they grow going forward as well.
