BE:FIRST Teams up With Anime Powerhouse Series One Piece for New Single, “Sailing” Out Now

Japanese boy-group BE:FIRST officially releases their new single, “Sailing” - out now. You can listen to “Sailing” here.

“Sailing” will serve as the ending theme song for the SPECIAL EDITED VERSION "ONE PIECE" Fishman Island Arc which started broadcasting on Sunday, October 27. BE:FIRST, along with their team, specifically wrote “Sailing” for the TV anime One Piece. “When writing the lyrics for “Sailing,” Sota, Ryuhei and I were mindful about creating lyrics that would resonate with both One Piece and BE:FIRST,” Shunto said, “For example, phrases like ‘Let’s turn any storm into a tailwind’ and ‘When I looked into my heart, I know my family and friends are there’ were inspired by both the original story and our everyday activities.These are messages, that we– BE:FIRST–hold close to our hearts in everything we do.”

“Sailing” comes a couple of months after BE:FIRST’s most recent album release 2:BE. 2:BE was BE:FIRST’s first original album in two years and showed how the group has evolved as artists. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums Chart and included multiple singles that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 Chart. You can listen to 2:BE here.

BE:FIRST is a Japanese boy group managed by BMSG and signed to B-ME, a joint record label between BMSG and Avex. The group was formed on August 13, 2021 through a reality audition program THE FIRST, which was hosted by Japanese producer and rapper SKY-HI on Hulu Japan.
